Earnings Season: Time to Clean House

I'm overdue for a checkup on non-earnings positions and I know it. Earnings season always throw some wrenches into even the best intentions. There are a few moves to make here as well as "stuff" that has happened. Stuff always happens in the market, so that's simply some humor as we kick off the last two days of trading in October.

One position I don't have to address is the SPDR S&P 500 ETF (SPY) puts I had used as a hedge against a portfolio of options heavy on the long side. Hedge or not, they expired worthless, so like overpriced insurance, I didn't see anything from the puts. The market pretty much moved in a straight line higher after I purchased them and then again when I rolled them higher.
