2 Retail Stocks That Still Look Strong

In the last 3 sessions, market volatility started to swing back to the lower levels seen in the first half of 2015 as investors await the Federal Reserve's interest rate decision on Thursday. Futures were down as I penned this in the wee hours of Tuesday morning, but they held up remarkably well considering that the Chinese stock market has now given up another 6% on the downside in the first two trading sessions of the week. Chinese authorities just seem unable, despite some extraordinary efforts, to arrest the deep slide.

I am going to strike a more optimistic note in today's article, compared to recent columns, and concentrate on the more-robust domestic economy. Since we got monthly retail sales data this morning, I thought it might be apropos to look at a couple of retail plays that have held up well during the recent bout of market turmoil, are mostly disconnected from challenging global markets and are still reasonably valued....351 more words left in this article.
