Second-quarter revenue rose +25%, a strong number for a firm with close to $150 billion in trailing twelve month revenue. North American E-com sales accelerated to 26.5%. However, AWS SLOWED to a +42% rate of gain as it has begun to get crowded in the cloud (MSFT and GOOG among others). AWS's EBITD margin declined sequentially, something that will probably not please tech investors who normally disdain margin compression. AMZN's sales increased +$7.5 billion in the quarter and EBITD increased only +$118 million. This is a 1.6% conversion of incremental revenue to EBITD, a monumental disaster in all businesses except this one. More troubling is that $724 million of the +$118 million increase in EBITD was caused by D (depreciation). AMZN builds things but does not generate an economic profit. AMZN's free cash flow is not growing either. Interest grew +8% sequentially. Pretax declined -44%. AMZN paid a heavy tax rate and EPS was down -78%. AMZN sells at 212x EPS. For a $500 billion or so startup, that is a BIG number. AMZN has 492 million shares. At the indicated trading of $1015, the market value is $500 billion. AMZN has $14 billion of net cash. This leads to a $486 billion of enterprise value. The EBITD multiple is 37x. Amazon Faces An Existential Anti Trust Threat It should be noted that AMZN is (finally) attracting some media

The downtrodden sector offers better upside potential than financial and industrial stocks, which are trading at or near their highs.

"Speeding arrow, sharp and narrow, What a lot of fleeting matters you have spurned. Several seasons with their treasons, Wrap the babe in scarlet colors, call it your own. Did he doubt or did he try? Answers aplenty in the bye and bye, Talk about your plenty, talk about your ills, One man gathers what another man spills."
