Doug Couden is Baker Avenue's Director of Equities and serves on the Investment Policy Committee. Couden is responsible for leading the firm's research and equity investment process. He has over 18 year of experience working in the capital markets, primarily in asset management. Prior to joining Baker Avenue, he worked as the Director of Equities at Newfleet Asset Management LLC and Seneca Capital Management LLC in San Francisco.Expand

Couden has extensive experience in security modeling, industry forecasting, and valuation work. As the head of multiple investment teams, he has initiated and developed investment products, managed the transition of multiple asset managers and products, generated asset and client growth in a variety of products, and instituted robust internal research management processes. He graduated from Southern Methodist University with a B.A. in Finance. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst and member of the Security Analysts Society of San Francisco.Collapse
