A Year-End Romp
At last, equity markets have begun their year-end romp higher. Although the current advance from recent lows has been extremely ragged, most benchmark indices from around the globe are moderately higher for the quarter, at least in local currencies. The U.S. dollar has advanced slightly against the yen and euro for the quarter to date.
