China has posed a growing threat to many Western firms over the last few years, by manufacturing more and more of what we in the world use, from toys and dishes to consumer electronics and more. Even though we think of cutting-edge products from Apple (AAPL), Microsoft (MSFT), Google (GOOG), Nest and others, the harsh reality is that a growing number of those devices are manufactured in China.
