Ahead of Thursday's open I wrote that rather than chasing price momentum through 1415 on the S&P 500, it made more sense to sit back and look for signs that demand was sufficiently strong between 1410.75/1411.50 (prior to jumping in on the long side). We know now that buyers of anything near 1415 were left holding horrid inventory at terribly unfavorable prices (and demand between 1410.75 and 1411.50 was pitiful), but alas, hindsight makes everything appear easier than it is....800 more words left in this article.
