Making Sense of Tablet Tuesday

Amid the deluge of earnings this week, we're getting some new product announcements, including ones from Apple (AAPL), Nokia (NOK) and to some extent BlackBerry (BBRY). While it's easy to get sucked into the hoopla associated with the new devices, let's take a step back and look at the larger picture to see that at least some of these companies are on the path to price cuts and margin pressure. That means avoiding most if not all of the device vendors' stocks. 

We all know that later today Apple will unveil its latest iPad models, and if the Internet speculation is true, it means a new, thinner iPad and an iPad mini with a retina display. Apple is also expected to note the launch of its new Mac operating system, Mavericks, and its new Mac Pro. Perhaps there will be something on AppleTV, but if there is, odds are that it won't be the much-discussed overhaul that had so much buzz earlier this year. ...406 more words left in this article.
