Making a Case for Digital Realty Trust
One of the companies that I have been watching over the last several weeks is Digital Realty Trust (DLR), a real estate investment trust that invests in technology-related real estate, primarily datacenters, which are facilities that house computer systems and associated components, such as telecommunications and storage systems.
Datacenters serve as gateways, or hubs, for Internet and data communications within and between major metropolitan areas, and as corporate repositories for secure, continuously available storage and processing of critical electronic information, not to mention disaster recovery purposes.
