Wednesday's dip buyer (especially any that bought during that evening's Globex session shortly after S&P downgraded Spain's credit rating) was no doubt pleased with Thursday's upside gap, but the gap turned out to be short lived. It's been a while since I've had a reason to say this, but given that the Es has not traded particularly well over the past four or five days, now is as good a time as any to pinch one's self and jot down on a piece of paper that buying into upside gaps within the context of a weak (or questionable) tape is generally not a wise decision....672 more words left in this article.
