Wednesday's Market Review
The Es began Wednesday's regular session exactly where it finished Tuesday and unfortunately for our now-wounded dip buyer, the tape failed to improve by any measurable amount for the remainder of the day. I'm sure the session's flat opening could have been attributed to a number of factors, but in my view the prior evening's profit warnings from Chevron (CVX) and Cummins (CMI) were the most likely ones. It's not that investors don't like, or are unable, to find the investable value in a company like Yum! Brands (YUM), it's simply that negative comments from the likes of a Cummins matter a whole lot more in regards to the strength of the global economy....729 more words left in this article.
