Afternoon Delight

The bulls are certainly turning this day into an afternoon delight full of breakouts and reversals. I expect we'll keep the optimism overnight, though I'm not certain it will carry through the entire trading day tomorrow if nothing concrete comes out of Washington. The weekend could be a long time to wait for some market players.

I anticipate buying a basket this afternoon before the close. I like to keep the basket restricted to between eight and 12 names, but it is running a bit hot now. I'm including a chart of names that came up on my post-lunch scan. I anticipate I'll have eight to 12 names from this group long at the close and I will look to post the final list in Columnist Conversation.
