The Long and Short of It

I don't know if there is anything other than maybe religion that brings forth emotions the way politics does. The government "shutdown" is only going to magnify those emotions. I won't be surprised to see the "shutdown" as a driver behind the shootings around the Capitol today. The understanding of it by most, myself included, is going to be somewhat limited, skewed and driven more by emotion than fact. My view is I'm not willing to play that game. I've put intraday scalping on hold for the most part. There is too much risk of getting jerked around by the headlines. It isn't a great risk-reward for me at the moment.

One name I own that I am adding to if it looks like it will close over $20 is Uni-Pixel (UNXL). If it doesn't close there today, then I will wait for the next move over $20, but that looks like the breakout price level. There has just been a push of the CCI over 100 and a bullish crossover on the MACD. I think we'll see a push to $25 on a close over $20. Most of the names in the sector look good.
