Day Ahead: Slow Death by Numbers?

The will to succeed at this crazy investing stuff drives one to find items in the market that are escaping mere mortals and think on a deeper level once those facts are unearthed. Today, I am wondering if the market is dying a slow death by numbers. Although the picture for third-quarter earnings season is really starting to leave a bad taste in my mouth, it's the macroeconomic reports that are of equal worry. Not only are global reads on manufacturing and employment a concern on a standalone basis, it's how the market perceives these reads (market is confused) that is being overlooked (which raises the risk for future disappointment that hurts valuations pricing in goodness, compliments of QE3)....550 more words left in this article.
