After the airing of Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney's candid remarks about the 46.4% of Americans who pay no income taxes, we've seen expressions of outrage among liberals and restlessness among his supporters. Nevertheless, this subject -- the fact that just under half of Americans benefit big time from federal benefits, yet have no skin in the game (besides FICO taxes supposedly funding their retirement benefits) -- is worthy of discussion.
