Nobody talks about Disney (DIS), but the stock is up more than 30% year-to-date, not including dividends. Are investors living in a fairy tale, or has their wish been granted?
Even though Disney reported a mixed quarter and gave squishy guidance, the stock has continued its assent into the magic kingdom. Management, which has been spending heavily on new attractions in the theme parks and building new cruise ships, said capital spending would decline substantially after this year and the company would reap approximately $500 million in new revenue from the new projects.
