Little Action Can Be Good Action

While the indices were fairly flat once again, there was a positive underlying tone to the action and limited downside pressure. The indices haven't done much lately, but they haven't done much wrong either. We are holding steady, and that is a positive after the run we've had since early June.

What was most impressive today was how we bounced back from early weakness on good breadth. With little news flow and very thin volume, we could have easily drifted lower, but there was some good support, and we had some decent bounces in momentum favorites such as Google (GOOG), LinkedIn (LNKD) and Amazon (AMZN).
