Deckers' Stock Comes Back Into Style
Traders couldn't love Deckers Outdoor (DECK) enough last fall, as the shares were running up to their all-time high of $118.90. The company was finishing up a record year that closed 2011 with earnings per share of $5.07. Momentum players were paying almost 24x that year's earnings.
You'd think the 2007 experience would have taught them something. Buyers just prior to year-end 2007 were bidding $55.50 (split adjusted) on what were then all-time high earnings per share of $1.68.
