Sirius XM Rocks On

Radio is an art form, one that is completely different from television. Not every TV host, actor, or rapper can translate his or her skills into good radio. Satellite radio operator Sirius XM (SIRI) has hit a few bumps by hiring popular TV personalities, suffering notable (and expensive) disappointments with big names, such as Martha Stewart.

One move that didn't disappoint was the signing of Howard Stern, a true radio icon. Like him or not, Stern is unique, and his signing put satellite radio on the map. Every time Stern's contract comes up for renewal, Sirius XM investors get nervous. His current contract expires in December 2015.
