Scoping Apple for an Options Play

I know what you're thinking: Is he buying an Apple (AAPL) iPhone 5 or waiting for a 6? Well, to tell you the truth, in all this earnings excitement, I kind of lost track myself. But since this is the most powerful technology company in the world, and a position that could clean blow up your portfolio, you've got to ask yourself one question: Do I feel lucky? Well, do ya, punk?

Longs have felt anything but lucky for the better part of a year now. Is this the report that turns things around? Apple has been surrounded recently by lapses in judgment or poor decisions and execution. Is this the report that turns things around or the report where Tim Cook's job is on the line? Frankly, I don't think it will be either. Looking at the chart, I do think this will be a report which gets Apple out of the recent trading channel of the last six months.
