Play Crocs the Opposite of Chipotle

Earnings traders certainly have their favorites, along with names they hate. I hear very few folks say anything positive about trading Amazon (AMZN) around earnings. That doesn't mean they won't, but there has always been snark around the number. Similar things can be said about Netflix (NFLX), which I touched on earlier in the day. Although not widely as followed, I would put Chipotle Mexican Grill (CMG) is in the same league as those two.

Valuation is always a contention with CMG. Seriously though, if valuation were the only argument, then NFLX and AMZN would both be much lower as well. What about the charts if valuation takes a vacation from names for weeks, months or even years at time? Often, they don't matter much either. I use charts, so I'm not saying they are useless, but they aren't much help when trying to determine whether a stock is heading higher or lower.
