Wouldn't Assume an Apple Beat
Apple (AAPL) is due to report its fiscal third-quarter results July 24 and, with investors anticipating another strong quarter, the shares have already risen 6.5% since the end of June. Since there's always a lot of excitement (and confusion) around Apple quarters, I thought I'd take a quick sneak peak.
According to Thomson Reuters, the consensus estimate for the third quarter is $37.337 billion in revenue and earnings of $10.38 per share.
