Finding Value in Railroad Stocks
Railroad stocks have been dead money over the past year. Most are slightly down over the past twelve months due to concerns around growth and the effects of a significant slowdown in coal traffic. However, I have noticed that the stocks have outperformed the overall market in the past month and have been stalwarts in the downleg over the past five trading sessions (see the chart below).
