Three Good Setups in the REIT Space

The real estate investment trust sector has benefited from the low interest rate policies of the Federal Reserve, and those conditions are likely to continue for some time. Here are three funds that have attractive annual dividend yields and good technical setups. They look to move higher in this low-rate environment. 

National Retail Properties (NNN) invests in properties in the retail space, and it has a 4.3% annual dividend yield. The daily chart shows the fund breaking out of a large cup-and-handle formation in June, and then moving above $36.50 and consolidating in a channel above that level. The price momentum indicators are flat, as would be expected during a sideways consolidation, but Chaikin money flow reflects strong accumulation. A close in upper candle range above $36.70 would be a long entry point, and while I'm usually looking for positive momentum to enter a trade, a pullback to the support area above $36.50 would also be a buying opportunity.
