Allegheny Shows Lots of Upside

Allegheny Technologies (ATI) manufactures specialty metals. When the U.S. economy was shaking and baking during 2006 and 2007, Allegheny posted all-time record results. After the financial crisis, the company's earnings rebounded in 2010 and 2011, but the firm is going through a second consecutive tough year. Its 2007 EPS of $7.26 drove the shares as high as $119.70. Monday's close was just $26.33, reflecting expectations for only $0.89 per share in earnings per share this year.

Allegheny's dividend has been stuck at $0.18 quarterly since 2008. At today's price, that now provides a current yield of an attractive 2.73%.
