GameStop Gets Only Temporary Relief

Fans of Microsoft's (MSFT) Xbox had a sigh of relief earlier this week when we learned that the upcoming Xbox One gaming console would be able to play used games. There was some concern that that may not have been the case, and that concern weighed on GameStop (GME) in the back half of May. On the news, GameStop's shares reversed course and set a new 52-week high last night.

I have to concede that I have never been much of a gamer, and to some extent the appeal of the Xbox, Sony's (SNE) PlayStation and systems from Nintendo and others is somewhat lost on me.
