The major indices have enjoyed a nice recovery from the recent low made in early June. Providing a reprieve here was some progress on the European front, both on the Spanish banking crisis and as far as the Greek-election outcome is concerned. Also mitigating investor concerns has been expectations for the Federal Reserve, which affirmed the possibility for another round of quantitative easing.

However, it still isn't a great investing environment, and much of the recovery has been just that -- a mere recovery that appears to be driven by an oversold condition created in early June. While Europe has quieted down, the economic picture in the U.S. is looking sluggish at best, it seems there a fair amount of risk remains in the market.
