Dunkin' Looks Fully Baked

Back in February, I liked Dunkin' Brands (DNKN), the parent company of Dunkin' Donuts. At the time, I thought the stock could easily reach the low $40s. Now that shares are up 18% and have reached my target, I thought I would update my thesis.

While New York City hipsters are crazy for cronuts, which are some sort of Frankenstein croissant-doughnut freak show, the rest of the country seems to be crazy for what Dunkin' is selling. This company has found a distinctly different customer base from that of other coffee shops. By introducing an avalanche of new products, moreover, it has been able to keep customers coming in the door.
