Con-way Hits New Highs
Con-way (CNW) is trading at fresh 2012 highs today. The powerful news-inspired move in FedEx (FDX), which is up more than 3% after a weak open, has sparked a strong move in the transports.
Many of the truckers are tagging along for the ride. The sub-index itself is up more than 2.25% and is led by Swift Transportation (SWFT), Old Dominion Freight Line (ODFL) and Con-Way. For its part, CNW is the top gainer in the sector with a surge of more than 5% on very heavy trade.
