The Picture Remains Cloudy
The market did a couple of bullish things today. It ignored bad news and finished strong, and it shrugged off a poor housing report, weak consumer sentiment news and a Spanish debt downgrade to move near the morning highs.
Volume was light, which is no surprise after a holiday weekend, but breadth was very strong with nearly three gainers for every decliner.
