Genie was spun off by IDT Corporation (IDT) last year and is composed of two divisions. IDT Energy is a reseller of electricity and natural gas to customers in New York, Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Genie Oil and Gas is an unconventional energy company focusing on in-situ removal of shale oil. IDT Energy produces steady revenue and cash flow with the potential for solid expansion as the company moves into new markets.
