Two Mega-Cap Energy Stocks to Watch

It has been an ugly couple of weeks in the energy sector, as a variety of factors have knocked down the price of oil and taken a heavy toll on energy shares. Worries about economic growth, less current concern about the Iran situation and a change in margin requirements have all negatively affected the oil price, and this has caused many high-quality names in the sector to sell off 8% to 15% in the last four to six weeks.

The start of this week looks like it will be volatile because of the elections in Greece and France. I would look to make a shopping list of high-quality energy stocks to pick up if they continue to sell off. I would stick with equities that have strong balance sheets, generous dividend payouts and robust cash flows.
