Next Week's Earnings Calendar

It's a bit interesting to see the fear trade pop up in bonds and precious metals today without a serious selloff in equities. In fact, we could still close green on equities with a small late-day rally. Still, the situation in Ukraine is very serious and one that could have a psychological impact on the markets. A few momentum names did get back a little mojo this week, but the longer-term charts for most of those names are broken. And for the first time in quite a while, utilities actually lost some momentum today. If the markets are going to run higher in the face of bonds moving higher, then a pullback in utilities is a must.

There are still lots of names hitting the earnings parade, including aforementioned momentum names such as SolarCity (SCTY), Zullily (ZU), Zillow (Z), TripAdvisor (TRIP), and FireEye (FEYE), but I prefer to look at those right in front of their release date. Instead, I started digging at some of the bigger-cap names that tend to move around earnings such as Priceline (PCLN), Green Mountain Coffee Roasters (GMCR), Whole Foods (WFM) and Tesla Motors (TSLA)....435 more words left in this article.
