The Day Ahead: Get a Clue
I can't tell you how often friends ask me for relationship advice -- and one very basic tip I have dished is this: If the person is not answering your calls, texts or emails at the very beginning, then grab a clue, rent a movie and stay in on a Friday night. In investing, as well, being ever-vigilant in picking up clues is a necessary skill to wield.
For example, we are receiving a host of clues early on in the earnings season that you have to respect, for they could squash the bear stampede, which was running on a potion known as "negativity juice" that found its way into the bloodstream during the pre-earnings vacuum period.
