Off the Charts

The blockbuster first quarter saw a fitting end Thursday as the S&P (SPY) made new all-time closing highs. We had another quiet session today, but the 0.41% gain was enough to reach the milestone. The Dow also made new all-time closing high today while the Nasdaq continues to lag. 

By the numbers it was a strong first quarter for the major indices as the Dow rallied 11.2%, the S&P gained 10% and the Nasdaq rose by 8.2%. The Dow made new all-time highs while the S&P remains just a few points from its all-time high intraday mark of 1576.
