The stock of the world's largest producer of earthmoving equipment has dropped dramatically in recent days as fears of a global economic slowdown have taken hold. Caterpillar (CAT) topped out at $116.95 less than a year ago and was at $99.70 as recently as Feb. 1. The stock touched $90.57 intraday on Thursday.
