You didn't really think the market would go straight down, did you? I say that a bit tongue-in-cheek, though it is the way some folks have sounded the last two days.
Yes, there is some underlying weakness out there. But dip-buying has been rewarded too well of late, and we still have central-bank involvement, so any correction will remain a hard fought-battle for the bears. I just hope they haven't given up hope for Lent, because I think little shake-out would be beneficial here. For those worried that such action might mean a loss of trust in the marketplace and its mechanics, I'd say that this is like Jets fans losing faith that their team can win the Super Bowl with Mark Sanchez at quarterback.
