The Chips Behind the Dollars
Most investors keep a number of things in mind as they hone in on a potential investment or check in with an existing one, and these can come in a variety of forms and from many places. Ideas and catalysts are two of these, but another can be far more valuable during periods of uncertainty: confirming data points, be they about the overall market or about a particular company and its shares. While there is no short supply of these, there are some less obvious ones as well.
One such example comes from the Mobile World Congress, which is being held next week (Feb. 27 to March 1). This is the biggest industry trade show to focus in on all things mobile, with an annual attendance of near 60,000.
