A Nat-Gas Fund Gets Squeezed
The iPath Dow Jones UBS Natural Gas (GAZ) is currently out of control, to say the least. Shares are now trading at a 100% premium to the indicative intrinsic value (IIV), which sits around $3.08 while shares trade around $6.20.
There are no shares to short, nor can iPath create any new shares, so a squeeze has been created over the past few days. Even as natural gas is falling in price, GAZ is rocketing up 27% today. Good thing we never see any manipulation on Wall Street.
