Thoughts on the Treasury Bond Selloff
Here are some thoughts on the recent selloff in bonds.
First, the 10-year Treasury has broken through the range that it had established back in September. That's when the bond sold off over a two-week period, from a yield of 1.55% to 1.87%. The 10-year briefly pierced this Jan. 3, when it closed at 1.91%, but it broke through the range more decisively Friday.
