Coming In From the Cold
It's been a cold winter here in Texas, but it has not been a wintry weather. There hasn't been a lot of rain or snow. In general, that doesn't matter much, but we've yet to see those big snow storms hit the East Coast either.
Natural gas isn't the only thing impacted by a warm winter or one that lacks a lot of precipitation; salt is also impacted. There hasn't been a lot of demand for road salt yet this winter, which can be bad news for Compass Minerals (CMP). The daily chart is already broken here, so the quick scalp short may be off the table.
