I didn't think I was going out on a limb when I said that volume would come back into the market after Wall Street returned from vacation. But I was wrong -- at least so far.
Volume on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) and the Nasdaq has stayed anemic in early 2012. Even a healthy employment report on Friday couldn't bring volume into the market.
